The Myth of One Size Fits All Window Well Covers

There are a lot of things that are sold one size fits all that are in no way able to live up to their claim. A hat? A tie? A dress?

Even the newer title of one-size-fits-most still leaves a lot of room for inadequate sizing.

Window well coverings are one of those items you may at first think could be sold as a one size fits all or at least one size fits most. That’s what the shelves in the big box hardware stores would have you believe. They want you to simply measure your window then go to the store and buy the size that comes close.

Online window well-covering sellers entice you to skip the store and order straight from them an already-made, fits-close-enough window cover.
