Step 1: Gather what you need:

A tape measure and a pencil or pen
A print-out of the Masonry/Wood Instruction sheet. Click here.

Step 2: Measure your window wells as indicated on the instruction sheet:

Indicate the style of masonry or wood well you have – Rectangular or Circular.
Does your well have a metal grate? If it does, check yes and send a photo.
Measure the inside width of your window well – Using Column #1, A
Measure how far the well projects out from the house WALL (not the window) to the inside edge of the well top – Column #1, B
If the top of the window is higher than the top of the well, measure the window height from the well top to the top of the window – Column #1, WH
Rectangular wells – measure X and Y to indicate the width(s) of the top edge of the well – Column #1, X and Y.
Circular wells – Column #1, X only.
