We recently received an email as follows:

Dear Mr. Dilworth, Well done! The bubble arrived about a week ago, and my husband did the installation. He assumed it wouldn’t fit properly (because of my revised measurements), so he dug a 2″ trench around the well first. Then he looked up under the siding and found that by trimming away the extra caulk from when we installed the window, there was enough room to easily slide the flange up under the siding. So he filled the trench with pea gravel, used tube foam to protect the edge, added insulation to the top and sides, and voila, the Catservatory (my daughter’s word) is complete!

The window faces west, so it warms up nicely when the sun is out. It has also stopped the cold air falling on Bruce when he’s on his couch in his man cave. Thank you so much for all your help. You obviously know your stuff. You can see a picture of Elwood in his Catservatory! Julia, Berkley MI
